THE TEMI AJIBEWA SPEAKING TOUR

Helping students discover their purpose and unlocking their potential.

You will agree that there is a growing recognition of the importance of teaching life skills in addition to academic subjects.

But first of all, what are these ‘life skills?’

Life skills refer to a set of abilities and competencies that enable a person to effectively navigate the challenges and opportunities of their daily lives.

These can include communication, problem-solving, critical thinking, time management, self-mastery, self-motivation, financial literacy, entrepreneurship, emotional intelligence, self-care, leadership, and interpersonal skills, among others.

As the world becomes more complex and interconnected, the demand for these life skills is increasing, and schools must adapt to these needs.

As an award-winning coach, seasoned speaker, and expert on topics around social-emotional learning, self-mastery, personal branding, and entrepreneurship, I’ve seen people experience rapid transformation in several areas of their lives when they give themselves to learning and practicing these life skills and that is is why I am committed to giving my time and expertise to speak on these topics that are not often taught in schools.

The topics I talk about in schools includes:

1. Social-Emotional Learning:

In recent times, this topic has become a critical aspect of a student’s academic and personal development.

It involves the process of developing self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making.

These skills are essential in helping students cope with stress, build meaningful relationships, and make positive choices.

Research has shown that students who have strong social-emotional skills perform better academically, have better mental health, and are more likely to succeed in life.

At a young age, I was emotionally abused, had no fatherly figure in my life, lost my mum immediately after I finished high school and had it rough growing up and achieving success.

I remember the emotional struggle growing up. I remember having several conflicting and destructive mindsets about life, men, people, country and myself. I narrowly escaped self-sabotage.

Social-Emotional learning is one topic I’m not just passionate about teaching young people, but I take it as my life’s mission. If I can break through the bondage of self-sabotage to achieve success, I can help your students too.

I share not just theory but my real-life examples and engage students in interactive discussions. I can inspire students to become more self-aware, empathetic, and responsible individuals.

So if you’re looking for an engaging and experienced speaker to discuss SEL with your students, I’m here to help!

2. Self-Mastery

Self-mastery is the ability to be in charge of one’s thoughts, emotions, and behaviors to support personal growth and success.

The ability to control oneself in all situations and consciously work towards goals characterises self-mastery in students. This includes understanding one’s purpose and practicing self-discipline to approach tasks deliberately, focused, and with integrity.

Self-mastery also involves managing emotions, impulses, and actions, which is critical to achieving life goals.

On the other hand, students lacking self-mastery tend to be impulsive and driven by emotions. They may lash out at others when angry, only to make up for it later with excessive politeness. Their unpredictability makes them appear untrustworthy.

Demonstrating self-mastery at school or work shows friends and family that students possess the inner strength and stability needed for effective leadership.

Thus, investing in developing self-mastery in your students is going to be absolutely worthwhile because not only do students become happier and more balanced individuals, but they also open up new opportunities as a result and become valuable members of society.

3. Personal Branding

Personal branding is one of the necessary competencies in today’s competitive market, and industry, where standing out from the crowd can make all the difference in achieving one’s results and career goals.

Personal branding is the process of building a unique identity and reputation for yourself, conveying your skills, values, and personality, and distinguishing yourself from others in your field.

As an impact-driven coach whose core topic is personal branding, I have gained immense understanding and experience in the fields of effective communication, marketing, and personal branding.

When you invite me to speak on personal branding, it will benefit your school and students in several ways:

Firstly, I will share insights on how your students can differentiate themselves from their peers and build their professional reputations in their future careers.

Secondly, I would equip them with the skills and tools they need to develop a personal brand that resonates with their style, uniqueness or speciality, stands out from their colleagues and competition and helps them achieve their future professional goals.

Personal branding is an unavoidable topic when it comes to building and developing a successful career or growing a business.

4. Entrepreneurship:

Entrepreneurship is a dynamic and rewarding field that offers students the opportunity to turn their ideas into successful businesses.

As someone who started my first business at the age of 15 and has gone ahead to start over 10 successful businesses, I have extensive knowledge about how to start a business and sustain and build a thriving company.

As a speaker, I experience and inspire students to pursue their entrepreneurial passions. I share some real-life challenges I faced in starting my business, the lessons I learned, and the strategies I used to build a successful business.

Moreover, I offer valuable insights into identifying and validating a business idea, conducting market research, and creating a solid business plan.

Not just that, I share my personal approach and strategy to sustaining and growing a thriving business: from managing their finances to building a team (friends, mentors, and Coaches) that can help them grow upward.

Entrepreneurship offers a world of possibilities for students to unleash their creative strength, innovative mind, and entrepreneurial spirit. As an expert in that field, I am committed to inspiring and equipping students with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in this exciting field.
